Reports

1. As part of the CHARS funding deliverables, two reports were written: the CHARS Fish and Fish Habitat Summary Report, which characterizes the fisheries of the Upper Columbia River with outlines of our hydrometric and temperature monitoring, fish population abundance monitoring, and fish DNA sampling results from the years 2020 to 2023; and the CHARS Restoration Summary Report which describes in detail the restoration works completed and to be completed through the CHARS.

2. The Secwépemec Nation in partnership with the Okanagan Nation Alliance (ONA) and the Ktunaxa Nation Council (KNC), in partnership with the Province of BC and Fisheries and Oceans Canada have collaborated through the Columbia River Salmon Recovery Initiative (CRSRI) to develop three Statements of Work (SOW) to advance the recovery and restoration of salmon in the Columbia River, within their traditional territories. Each nation lead an individual SOW; the Secwépemec Nation's SOW being a Salmon Habitat Capacity Synthesis and Study Design. The Nation and the CHARS team created the Salmon Habitat Synthesis and Assessment Framework for the Upper Columbia River to fulfil this SOW.
